At the Park of Love you can spend 3 to 7 days in complete darkness. The dark room is a tool for working with yourself. Darkness and solitude reduce outside distractions and create the conditions for noticing your own thoughts, feelings and inner patterns.
There is no guide, no ritual and no set programme. You decide what you work on and how deep you go. The dark room does not give ready-made answers and does not do the inner work for you.
The Park of Love is in Puka, Valga County, Estonia. It is 53 km from Tartu and 203 km from Tallinn.
What is the dark room?
The dark room is a space with no light at all. When your eyes no longer provide information, your attention turns more inward. There are fewer outside distractions, and your own thoughts and feelings may come up more clearly.
The dark rooms at the Park of Love are connected to the centre of the park and work on the principle of amplification: they bring more into view of what is already within you. This may involve feelings, thoughts, inner contradictions or themes that daily life has left no room to look at.
The dark room is not therapy or a course. It is an environment you can use to explore yourself and do inner work.
Why darkness?
In everyday life, information keeps reaching us from outside. Activities, people, screens and familiar surroundings constantly give attention new targets.
In darkness there is less of this. You can no longer simply look away or distract yourself with outside activity. What you are used to avoiding, suppressing or simply not noticing may come into view.
Darkness can bring peace, but also restlessness or fear. These too are part of what a person may notice and explore.
What happens in the dark room?
There is no set experience and no result you are supposed to reach. The inner work begins with whatever is active in you right now.
You may notice feelings moving, repeating thoughts, resistance, or themes you have not known how to pay attention to before. Some feelings grow stronger, some fade. Sometimes it may seem that nothing is happening.
What matters is not reaching a particular state, but noticing and exploring what is happening within you. You do not have to think anything up or force the experience. Being in the darkness gives you time and space for this.

Masculine and feminine energy
The Park of Love has two dark rooms side by side. They have different orientations.
The masculine energy room is connected with the father, men, holding, a sense of safety and creating a frame. Masculine energy gives the frame and holds it.
The feminine energy room is connected with the mother and women, with flow, and with the courage to move and act in the space held by masculine energy.
The orientation of each room gives the inner work a different starting point. You choose the room according to which one speaks to you more.
Who is it for?
The dark room suits a person who wants to work deeply with themselves and is ready to spend several days in solitude with their own thoughts and feelings.
If you are looking for entertainment or a set programme, the dark room is not the right place. Nothing is organised for you here, and your experience is not guided.
Darkness and isolation can be mentally demanding. If you have serious difficulties with anxiety or mental health, consider carefully before coming whether this experience is right for you.
The Park of Love does not replace a doctor or a psychologist.
Rooms and couples
The dark rooms are simple and small, and they are side by side, separated by an entrance hall.
You can also come as a couple. One of you can be in the masculine energy room and the other in the feminine energy room. By agreement, it is possible to meet briefly in the dark and quiet.
