The dark room is a place where the outer gradually begins to lose its role and the inner begins to regain its own. It is like the change from night to day. This experience is not for everyone.
Long darkness may not be pleasant, because it is new, different and unfamiliar. Novelty can bring fear and discomfort. That feeling is not taken away from you to make the experience prettier or easier to bear. The dark room at the Park of Love is genuine and without outside intervention. Nothing is promised, and nothing is made easier or prettier than it is.
There is only a choice: whether to choose the unfamiliar inner over the known and comfortable outer, or not.
The Park of Love amplifies what is happening within you, including anxiety. If you have problems with anxiety or take medication for it, this place is not for you.
If the feelings become too strong for you, you can come out of the dark room at any time: the door is not locked from the outside, and the decision and the responsibility are yours.
Sometimes we want experiences from the dark, something special to try. In that case it is easy to be disappointed.
One control question to ask yourself: am I afraid of the dark… or am I actually afraid of being alone…? An honest answer to this question can change a lot.
